Ragnar Relay

So... a few months back my friend Nicole asked if I wanted to run in the "Wasatch Back" relay. I told her I would if I could have an easy leg because I really didn't want to train for a big race. I thought I would be ok not really training hard, but I was wrong! I am paying for it today with sore quads and calves.
We were in van #1 Me, Nicole (my friend), Josh, Mike, Melissa, and Nicole. We had an awesome van and we had a great time!!
This is me running my first leg that was 5.1 miles. I ran it at 2:00 pm. in the heat of the day. It was also an icline starting to ascend up Avon Pass. This leg was my hardest one! I was glad when I got it done.
This was my night run at midnight on Morgan Valley Drive. I loved this leg, it was cool and we had eaten a good spaghetti dinner so I felt great! This leg was 4.2 miles. My last leg was the following morning at 10:00 am. It was downhill descending into Heber Valley. It was only 3.8 miles and it was great!!!
Our team did great! ( i didn't get a pic of our entire 12 man team at the finish line because it was pouring rain). We finished a little over 28 hours. It was so much fun and I met some great people. I would do it again knowing I would be in a van with 6 other sweaty people with no sleep for 28+ hours. Thanks Nicole for inviting me to run!
